The Swedish Ship Götheborg - one of the largest wooden ships in the world today - and a replica of a 260-year-old merchant ship - set sail from Sweden on October 2 last year and arrived in Shanghai, China, on August 29 this year. Tailor-made food service and laundry products by Electrolux Professional partner Loipart furnish the ship.
Electrolux Professional partner Loipart supplied equipment on a replica of the "Swedish Ship Götheborg" - one of the largest wooden ships in the world today - and a replica of the 260-year-old "Götheborg" merchant ship.
The Swedish Ship set sail for an adventurous voyage from Sweden to Guangzhou & Shanghai in China and back - with many events and stop-overs on the way (Spain, Brazil, South Africa, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, Mauritius, Ascension, Azores, England).
The vessel serves as a symbol of historic bounds between east and west - and a flagship of industry and peaceful trade.
Electrolux Professional partner Loipart equips Götheborg with top-class galley (marine foodservice) and laundry equipment. The appliances are specially constructed to meet the extreme requirements and challenges presented by round-the-world voyages in an 18th-century sailing vessel.
Equipment for the galley on the ship includes a gyro-mounted frying table, a six plate cooker, a 40-liter boiling pan, a hood type dishwasher, stainless steel refrigerators and freezers, each with 400-liter capacity, a fan-assisted oven, cutting and preparation machines and microwave ovens. In the laundry section, heavy duty washing machines and tumble dryers for professional use were installed.
