The result of a winning partnership between the famous architect and designer Adam Tihany and the technology offered by Electrolux and Molteni is present in the “Yi Cafè” and “Jade on 36” restaurants of the luxury hotel Pudong Shangri–La in Shanghai.
The Tihany Design multidisciplinary atelier, founded in 1978 by architect and designer Adam D. Tihany, dedicates itself to custom-tailoring luxury restaurants and hotels to reflect each client’s singular vision and unique brand of hospitality. Adam Tihany is famous for his ability to integrate in his design approach different branches of design, from architecture to interior design, up to graphics and tableware design.
In the “Jade on 36” restaurant of the Pudong Shangri-La hotel in Shanghai, Tihany avoided the cliché of combining sleek contemporary interiors with some traditional pieces of furniture: he took traditional elements from everyday life and reinterpreted them.
