SMART defrost technology is an Electrolux patented feature: defrosting only occurs when ice builts up in the evaporator and stops as soon as the ice has melted. This makes the system much more efficient than traditional ones which only defrosts by time.

Save the environment with Cyclopentane foaming
Electrolux refrigerators and freezers are foamed with cyclopentane, a gas that does not damage the ozone and does not create the greenhouse warming effect. Cyclopetane replaces HCFC and CFC based foams which destroy the ozone layer and increase the greenhouse effect.
